Mari Miyoshi
Mari Miyoshi was born and raised in Kobe, Japan and moved to the U.S. when she was 8 years old. She Began her career as an occupational therapist in 2001, working with children with various challenges in schools and sensory integration clinics. While still a student, she began the study of craniosacral therapy, with which she treated individuals who had experienced various traumas to the body such as accidents, disease, and difficult birth processes.
Her curiosity in treating people brought her to the study of Educational Kinesiology (Brain Gym), which utilizes movement to change the brain and remove learning blocks.
She began to combine the physical and sometimes emotional benefits of craniosacral therapy with the relearning of habits and behaviors that happened with Brain Gym.
She completed the training to become a Brain Gym teacher/consultant in 2004 and has been teaching and consulting with individuals, groups, schools and corporations on how to use simple movements to improve the ease and efficiency of performing life tasks.
Mari currently splits her time working in the New York City public school system as an Occupational Therapist with middle school aged children, and a bustling practice with individuals of all ages and abilities as well as corporate groups who want to increase their optimum functioning. Ms Miyoshi also teaches Brain Gym 101 workshops and hosts master teachers in the Brain Gym community from other states and countries.
